“I feel like I am a work in progress even though I am 81 years old” says Mary Ann. She once considered herself primarily a watercolor artist and still finds that medium challenging and exciting. She continues to explore other artistic venues, inspired by a compulsion to recycle and repurpose materials. A member of the Iowa Watercolor Society, she has taken may 3-5 day workshops the Society offers each summer, taught by nationally and internationally known watercolor artist. She is a long time member of the Iowa Artist organization and participates in its regional shows each spring.

Her exhibit at the Carnegie is very eclectic and includes non-representational and abstracted works.
