The UI Piano Celebration: From Bach to Barber

Dr. Ksenia Nosikova, a graduate of Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and University of Colorado, is a Professor of Piano at the University of Iowa. Her students won prizes at numerous competitions including New York, Eastman Young Artists, Liszt-Garrison, Hilton Head, Ibla Grand Prize, and Louisiana international piano competitions, and were accepted to leading music programs include Curtis, Juilliard, Colburn, Eastman, NEC, and Peabody.

An international Steinway Artist and Professor of Piano at the University of Iowa, Dr. Ksenia Nosikova presents her 4 award-winning students in an exciting program of solo piano music: Shu-Min (Alice) Chang, Caroline Krause, Ryan McNamara, and Peng Zhang. These accomplished piano virtuosos will perform a diverse selection of piano masterworks from different centuries, including old favorites by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Ravel. The performers will also share their thoughts on their pieces they will be playing.
